Data Acquisition
Data acquisition, often referred to as data acquisition DAQ, is the process of sampling signals that measure real world physical parameters over time and storing the signals as digital numeric values that can be viewed and analysed in real time on a computer. A data acquisition system is often abbreviated as DAQ or DAS. A Data acquisition system consists of sensors, signal conditioning circuitry including filters and isolation, analogue to digital converters and data storage, and may also include visual displays. StrainSense offers modular data acquisition devices for control and measurement applications both in laboratory settings and mobile environments, as well as power analyzers for precise electrical power measurements.
