Accelerometers

Essential for Vehicle Dynamics, the DC MEMS series 4000/5000MF is the pinnacle of performance over a wide temperature range whilst providing a low noise signal and is by far our best-selling solution. The LN has enhanced residual noise however a shorter temperature window. The DC MEMS solutions can be provided with connectors, any cable length, cable splitters, TEDS chips and calibrated to ISO 17025 (on request).

The IEPE accelerometers are widely used for general testing either as adhesive based or clip mounting for hard to reach areas. All accessories studs, adhesives, waxes, magnetic mounts, cable assemblies, signal conditioning are readily available.

Position Sensors

Linear position sensors are commonly used for suspension travel or engine/structural displacement on vehicles/motorbikes. The linear potentiometers are performance grade with high temperature capability (including the rod ends, they wont melt!). Stroke lengths 0-12.5 to 450mm, optional outputs, fixings and diameters. The String Pots are readily used for structural displacements especially in buses/trucks and high sided vehicles. A top tip... use a short stroke length but use an extension cable if the fixing point is far away.

Pressure Sensors

Engine, hydraulics, coolant & brakes are the life fluids of vehicles. The miniature pressure solutions include options for combined pressure & temperature to 175 Deg C or flush mounted to avoid air entrapment. All are designed to be robust in harsh environments and many custom options including ISO 17025 calibration. General pressure solutions are readily available in a cost effective package.

Data Acquisition

The NexDAQ is a ‘must have’ portable workhorse for measuring Vehicle Dynamics. Having 8 analogue channels, a multitude of other inputs and expandable by daisy-chaining. Powered by USB or cigarette lighter socket it is a flexible go-to DAQ system used with a laptop having an all aluminium housing with strap down slots. The Trionet and A4 expand the family of mobile solutions, all share hugely powerful software which includes full diagnostic features, FFT, visualisation, analysis and post processing.. expandable and dependable.
