Oxygen Software Update Version 7.4

The latest Oxygen 7.4 update brings a wealth of new features, enhancements, and tools designed to improve usability, performance, and analysis capabilities. This version introduces significant upgrades across multiple areas, including Modal Testing, Orbit & Polar Plots, Power Analysis, instruments and reporting, OXYGEN-NET, SCPI remote control and more.

Modal Test improvements: Modal test is ideal for analysing the frequency characteristics of a mechanical structure to determine resonances and damping. Our new modal test feature now implements the Single Degree Of Freedom (SDOF) Circle Fit method, including the new Nyquist plot instrument (see image below). Exporting of the modal shape animation as video for reporting is supported (see image below).

Orbit Plot & Polar Plot: Two powerful new instruments for orbit analysis: the Orbit instrument and the Polar instrument (see images below), ideal for diagnosing rotational machinery issues by visualizing shaft movement and vibration patterns

Power Improvements: Relative harmonics calculation support, harmonics table improvement, multiple DC groups for efficiency calculation. 

(Chart) Recorder Improvements: New marker functionality (up to 10 markers), customizable cursor table layout, to enhance analysis and reporting (see image below).

Text Instrument Improvements: Text instrument improvements including italics, bold, sub and super scripts, to enhance usability, customization, and data presentation.

Reporting Updates: Our reporting tool now supports two additional paper sizes - A5 and A6.

OXYGEN-NET improvements: Support for Multi-Master Mode and Redundant Master mode, to allow for more complex OXYGEN-NET systems and enhance redundancy.

New SCPI commands: Multiple new SCPI commands to query detailed information about Sync In/Out settings, configure the channels to be enabled for Auto Export, Possibility to execute bridge balancing and enable / disable bridge shunting.

Additional Improvements: Saturation meter instrument reset option, Synchronization of XR-module data with analogue channels, Drag-and-Drop System Assignment to instruments, Toggle Design Mode Via Mouse Button, Header Search for *.dmd-Files, Option to change the physical units in multiples by 1000, e.g. V to mV or kV, GPS Plot Colour Trail (see below).

Software feature to import other manufacturers reports: Importation of Dewesoft *.dxd- & *.d7d data files into Oxygen data files is now supported in Play mode.

Strainsense Store e-commerce update

NEXDAQ systems including Oxygen software, XR modules and MSI adapters are all now available from stock on our e-commerce store, alongside our range of position, pressure and vibration sensors.

XR modules

8 channel XR modules for universal thermocouple measurement and RTD temperature measurement, voltage and current all have CAN and RS-485 data output. This allows integration with Dewetron TRION and NEXDAQ systems and other measurement systems. XR modules can be daisy chained for higher channel counts (see image below).
