Delivering Real Time Efficiency Maps
Our DEWE3 power analyzer systems and Oxygen software deliver real time efficiency maps. The maps display efficiency as a colour scale across the speed and torque range, ideal for evaluating the performance of EV drivetrains across their operating range. Efficiency can be calculated for the electric motor alone or the complete drivetrain. Each data point can be captured manually or by an automated trigger from the test bed. Mechanical power is synchronised with the electrical power cycle for the most precise efficiency measurement.
A key benefit is streamlining the efficiency mapping process as it delivers a 40% productivity improvement over comparable systems. Maps can be exported as PDF reports or image files direct from the power analyzer for ease of use. Raw waveform data can be recorded on the power analyzer at up to 10 MS/s per channel whilst the map data point is measured.
Additional data including low speed temperature and high speed vibration and noise can be recorded in sync with the electrical and mechanical power data on the power analyser system.
