Annular load cells, also known as force washers, load washers or donut load cells are typically used in bolt tension applications but can also be used in various applications where a through hole is required. This type of load cell is commonly customised for physical dimensions but also various measurements range and sensitivities which is controlled by the thickness of the sensing element.

Our annular load cell needs to be used with a pair of spherical washers for disconnecting frictional forces and to align any tolerance stacking providing best performance. Standard ranges are from 0-10KN to 0-200 kN and bolt sizes from M6 to M36. Electrical output is 1mV/V with options for amplified outputs of 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC or +/-10VDC. Non-standard sizes, ranges, cable lengths and shunt calibration available on request. Contact us for custom designs.
