Product Description

The standard model EGCS-D5 accelerometer is critically damped with built-in over-range stops that are set to protect the unit against up to 20,000g shocks. An optional High g version EGCS-D5-20K has a range of 0-20,000g and over-range capability of 30,000g.

This is ideal for applications which may experience rough handling or in situations where the accelerometer must survive a high initial overload in order to make a low g measurement. These units feature a Wheatstone Bridge output with compensated temperature range of +20 to +80ºC. An inline amplifier option is available for superior signal to noise performance.

This is a critically oil damped accelerometer specifically aimed at removing resonance amplification so no need to use an over-ranged MEMS sensor such as 60,000 or 100,000 g ranges. Ideal for explosive environments such as pyroshock, blast loading, blast survivability or extreme metal to metal impacts.
