Waterproof weldable strain gauge 1/2, full bridge
A three element configuration with strain gauges placed at three different angles to determine three linear independent strain measures. The most common configurations are 45° and 60° and can be designed to customer specifications. In this configuration, three linearly independent strain measures are used to determine the three independent components of plane strain. Our waterproof gauges are specifically designed to evaluate and monitor live-load stresses for railroad, bridge, and other structural applications and are 100% full water immersion tested. The precision foil gauge is bonded to a stainless steel shim, pre-wired and protected with a molded water-proofing material. The stainless steel shim permits easy field installation with any conventional capacitive discharge spot welder. Instrumentation cable and wiring options can be customized to your specifications. Custom gauge sizes and resistance are also available. Please see the data sheet for options.
