Product Description

The Model 160-162 string pots are a high grade precision conductive plastic potentiometer, offering stroke/travel up to 1080mm (42.5 inches). Model 160 range 0-540mm, Model 161 range 0-762mm & Model 162 range 0-1080mm. The sensor has a grooved drum for enhanced repeatability and small robust design, bearing mounted rotating components.  There are several choices of design available for either left or right hand cable pull, cable tension options and base/no base. Output is via a voltage divider circuit offering infinite signal resolution. *Design temperature -40 to 125 Deg C as standard (with custom options down to -65 Deg C for flight testing) and high mechanical life in excess of 100 million cycles, rated to Mil-R-39023 shock & vibration. All units are available with the unique 'Roundabout' or pulley system to allow for off-axis measurements without compromising the signal performance or cable damage.
